Fans of kettlebell training suggest it increases strength, power, speed, co-ordination and core stability. Some claim kettlebells are the best tool for interval training

So what is it about kettlebells that makes kettlebell training so effective?

First, kettlebell ballistic exercises such as: the swing, the snatch, and the clean and jerk, teach you how to work you whole body as one unit.

This full body strength is critical if you want real world strength that will transfer from your training to your everyday life and/or your athletic activities.

Used by the Russian military and Special Forces, the kettlebell (or girya) has been touted as the most effective, efficient piece of strength training equipment available.

Fans of kettlebell training suggest that it increases strength, power, speed, co-ordination as well as core stability. Some even claim that it can replace several different forms of training and is superior to more traditional weight training.

Now I don’t know that kettlebells are better than weight training myself but since I have started using them along with my weight training my lean muscle gains have taken a much denser look.

I have a video for you from Chris Lopez of The Turbulence Training Kettlebell Revolution program.

past the benefits of kettlebells I talked about above one of the great things about kettlebell training is so easy you can go from fat burning to a lean muscle building workout.

Since kettlebells are very adaptable to either.

Kettlebell Training is Interval Training “on Steroids”

Interval training, usually done at the end of a workout, involves bouts of high intensity exercise (sprinting, bodyweight circuits, complexes, etc) followed by recovery periods.

Research has shown that training of this type creates an amazing fat burning response and will spare your hard-earned muscle.

Traditional kettlebell training usually involves doing a series of full body exercises and movements continuously without any rest until we reach a certain time or until we finish our required number of repetitions.

These “circuits” or “drills”, as they are sometimes called, give us a more of challenge simply because we’ve added kettlebells into the mix.  The result is one of the gut wrenching interval sessions you’ve ever done in your life.

And the beauty of it is the variety of movement that will reduce the amount of overuse that occurs with traditional sprinting on a track or bike.

Kettlebell training, although it’s history is rich in tradition, is the wave of the future.  It’s the hottest 6-pack-abs generator of the moment and will definitely help you get those rock hard abs you’ve been looking for.
